I have a short story I want to share. I did my best with it.
(please excuse the problems with the tab button on this, it wouldn't work right)
Violet's Shadow
The Story of Lola
Who is Lola? Her full name is Lola Viola Violet. She’s very pretty, yet quite intelligent. However, she’s not the normal sort of girl. Firstly her purple hair and violet eyes are a clear indication that something’s very different about Lola. Secondly, her behaviors are quite strange as well. Even though she’s a full grown adult, she can’t always act her age. Not through lack of trying of course.
Lola’s Mind is far from that of a normal person. She often loses control of her actions. She can’t always think straight. Her social interactions can be, somewhat confusing.
Lola simply loves to eat chocolate, so much so that her best friend, (Gloria Grey) and her doctor, (Courtney Crystal) have to prevent her from getting ahold of any. Most of the time, she just eats salads for all her meals, with the occasional snacks, such as potato chips or popcorn.
Lola only has one, truly close friend, Gloria Grey. They’re interactions can be… questionable…. But the truth is, they need each other, Lola can’t be happy alone, and Gloria can’t be happy if she is never needed by someone.
Lola needs attention and lots of it. Gloria needs to feel important to someone. So it’s only natural that they would be so close.
Lola has a daughter, named Annebell, often called Anny. Anny is the best friend of Gloria’s Adopted daughter, Tina Grey.
Lola and her daughter visit each other several times a week. Lola loves her daughter, but… Annebell didn’t always love her mother. Anny blamed her mother for the abuse her father put her through as a child. However, they are glad that part of their lives has past. These days Lola and Annebell are thankful to be family.
Lola sees her doctor a few times a month. Doctor Courtney Crystal gives her the medication she needs to stay as close to sanity as possible.
For the most part, Lola has a very good life; she’s got a very close friend, a caring daughter, and a doctor who actually helps keep her sane. (Well… close to being sane anyway.)
How do I know Lola? How do I know so much about her? Isn’t obvious? I created her, and while it may not seem like it, I consider her to be perfect.
And so, that’s really all I have to say.
(that's all I got done, I'm very curious to see what any one thinks. thank you!)
(also, I think I may have made excessive use of the name, "Lola")

The use of the name Lola didn't bother me.
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback.
I've been developing this character for many years. I've put a lot of time, thought, and you could even say love into creating this character. there's a lot more to it. anyway, I am also writing a few longer story's about Lola and some other characters.
perhaps, could you explain a little more what you mean by anecdotes and examples? To be honest I'm not quite sure what that means.
With that I mean getting to know Lola through the story itself.
For instance that you don't say ''she's eccentric'', or ''she's smart'', but that you discover that while reading. Not literally pointing it out, but showing it by highlighting het behaviours and thoughts as the story progresses
Like, making it come back that she loves chocolate time and time again. Not saying ''she loves chocolate'', but that it's a returning theme in the story. Lola standing in front of a candy shop.... Lola getting told not to eat so much chocolate... Lola craving for chocolate.
Wow, that's really nice, if you can make up a character and stick to it like that, and put so much thought in it.
Is Lola your avatar?

thanks again. My avatar isn't even close to Lola, but I very well may replace it with her. Your feedback is helpful, I will remember it as I write my next story. this one was basically designed as a way to get to know Lola. anyway, I don't remember when I first started drawing her and writing about her. it feels like I've been doing so for most of my life. makes me happy though
