"Out of Sync" by DEVO
she's out of sync
and everyone around her
knows that something is wrong
she's out of sync
she's got all the symptoms
of a girl who skipped a beat
she's out of sync
a piece of ancient history
she's a walking mirage
she's out of sync
she entered through the exit
and never stopped to think
she's out of sync she's a half step behind
she's out of luck her body split from her mind
she's out of orbit she'll never connect
she'll run out of time before she accepts she's out of sync
she's out of sync (sync)
she's out of sync (sync)
she's out of sync
and everybody senses
there's a distance to keep
she's out of sync
and totally committed
to living in a dark age
she's out of sync
she's constantly undoing
what's already been done
she's out of sync
trapped in a silent movie
and she's on the brink
she's out of focus
she's a warp in time
she's discontinued
a break in the line
Sometimes...
Nine Inch Nails
"Every Day Is Exactly The Same"
I believe I can see the future
Cause I repeat the same routine
I think I used to have a purpose
But then again
That might have been a dream
I think I used to have a voice
Now I never make a sound
I just do what I've been told
I really don't want them to come around
Oh, no
[Chorus:]
Every day is exactly the same
Every day is exactly the same
There is no love here and there is no pain
Every day is exactly the same
I can feel their eyes are watching
In case I lose myself again
Sometimes I think I'm happy here
Sometimes, yet I still pretend
I can't remember how this got started
But I can tell you exactly how it will end
[Chorus]
I'm writing on a little piece of paper
I'm hoping someday you might find
Well I'll hide it behind something
They won't look behind
I'm still inside here
A little bit comes bleeding through
I wish this could have been any other way
But I just don't know, I don't know what else I can do
[Chorus x2]

I don't think you get it
I think probably "Eyes on Me" could ba about a woman who is in love of an aspie man
Whenever sang my songs
On the stage, on my own
Whenever said my words
Wishing they would be heard
I saw you smiling at me
Was it real or just my fantasy?
You'd always be there in the corner
Of this tiny little bar
My last night here for you
Same old songs, just once more
My last night here with you?
Maybe yes, maybe no
I kind of liked it your way
How you shyly placed your eyes on me
Did you ever know
That I had mine on you?
Darling, so there you are
With that look on your face
As if you're never hurt
As if you're never down
Shall I be the one for you
Who pinches you softly but sure
If frown is shown then
I will know that you are no dreamer
So let me come to you
Close as I want to be
Close enough for me
To feel your heart beating fast
And stay there as I whisper
How I love your peaceful eyes on me
Did you ever know
That I had mine on you?
Darling, so share with me
Your love if you have enough
Your tears if you're holding back
Or pain if that's what it is
How can I let you know
I'm more than the dress and the voice
Just reach me out then
You will know that you're not dreaming
Darling, so there you are
With that look on your face
As if you're never hurt
As if you're never down
Shall I be the one for you
Who pinches you softly but sure
If frown is shown then I will know
that you are no dreamer
Though I hate most Avril Lavigne songs, her "Freak Out" is a great song and perfect for me:
"I'm gonna live my life
I can't ever run and hide, I won't compromise
'Cause I'll never know
I try to close my eyes, I can't
Watch the time go by, I won't keep it inside
Just freak out, let it go"
"Infinity" by Queens of the Stone Age. I think this song may have actually been written for autistics because the official symbol for autism is the infinity sign.
Lyrics:
Got a hole in my head
Everything falls right out
Through my ears, through my eyes
Makes no difference where you are
You wanna know how I do it?
I do it all right
I feed the hole and I never go home
There ain’t nothing can fill it all up
I feed the hole and I never go home
There ain’t no one thing
And you run
And you run
You never get right back
And you run
You wanna know how I do it?
I do it all right
I feed the hole and I never go home
There ain’t nothing can fill it all up
I feed the hole and I never go home
There ain’t no one thing out there
I kneel with a gun to my head
I can let it go
I kneel with a gun to my head
I can let it go
So I sing
(vocalizations)
Lost For Words by Pink Floyd fits me well, even if it isn't intended to. "Stuck in a world of isolation while the ivy grows over the door" really hits home.
I was spending my time in the duldrums
I was caught in a couldron of hate
I felt persecuted and paralysed
I thought that everything else would just wait
While you are wasting your time on your enemies
Engulfed in a fever of spite
Beyond your tunnel vision reality fades
Like shadows into the night
To martyr yourself to caution
Is not going to help at all
Because there'll be no safety in numbers
When the right one walks out of the door
Can you see your days blighted by darkness?
Is it true you beat your fists on the floor?
Stuck in a world of isolation
While the ivy grows over the door
So I open my door to my enemies
And I ask could we wipe the slate clean
but they tell me to please go and f**k myself
You know you just can't win
The Fool On The Hill - The Beatles
Day after day alone on the hill,
The man with the foolish grin is keeping perfectly still,
But nobody wants to know him,
They can see that he's just a fool,
And he never gives an answer,
But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down,
And the eyes in his head,
See the world spinning round.
Well on the way, head in a cloud,
The man of a thousand voices talking perfectly loud
But nobody ever hears him,
Or the sound he appears to make,
And he never seems to notice,
But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down,
And the eyes in his head,
See the world spinning round.
And nobody seems to like him
They can tell what he wants to do
And he never shows his feelings,
But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down,
And the eyes in his head,
See the world spinning round.
Oh round, round, round, round, round
And he never listens to them
He know that they're the fool
They don't like him
The fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down,
And the eyes in his head,
See the world spinning round.
Oh round, round, round, round, oh
Another one from The Beatles
Nowhere Man
He's a real nowhere man
Sitting in his nowhere land
Making all his nowhere plans
For nobody
Doesn't have a point of view
Knows not where he's going to
Isn't he a bit like you and me?
Nowhere man, please listen
You don't know what you're missing
Nowhere man, the world is at your command
He's as blind as he can be
Just sees what he wants to see
Nowhere man can you see me at all?
Nowhere man, don't worry
Take your time, don't hurry
Leave it all till somebody else
Lends you a hand
Doesn't have a point of view
Knows not where he's going to
Isn't he a bit like you and me?
Nowhere man, please listen
You don't know what you're missing
Nowhere man, the world is at your command
He's a real nowhere man
Sitting in his nowhere land
Making all his nowhere plans
For nobody
Making all his nowhere plans
For nobody
Making all his nowhere plans
For nobody
Another one (the final) form The Beatles
Eleanor Rigby
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Eleanor Rigby picks up the rice in the church where a wedding has been
Lives in a dream
Waits at the window, wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door
Who is it for?
All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?
Father McKenzie writing the words of a sermon that no one will hear
No one comes near
Look at him working. Darning his socks in the night when there's nobody there
What does he care?
All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Eleanor Rigby died in the church and was buried along with her name
Nobody came
Father McKenzie wiping the dirt from his hands as he walks from the grave
No one was saved
All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?
