Comment your favorite song if you're a fan. Also, please don't post about how he's "satanic" or anything like that.

I would like to like him, but don't actually find much of his music that good, I think he has grown so big on account of his visual image.
I much prefer the Genitorturers who are a similar ilke though a Female singer, but their tunes are so good.

I like him, he's not my favorite but I listen to Manson from time to time....I certainly think his focus is more on shock than actually making very impressive/great music, but I think a lot of it still sounds good even if its not very complex or anything.

Oh yeah, Marilyn Manson is alright. I am a product of 90's music... automatically think of things like Get Your Gunn and Long Hard Road Out of Hell. Good stuff. I have been meaning to put more of his stuff on my MP3 player... got some floating around the laptop somewhere. I keep getting annoyed when I remember Day Three is still not on there.

Talk of Genitorturers made me smile. I know two girls who toured with them as on stage performers 8O

I like Tainted Love and No Reflection. My parents... do not condone Marilyn Manson... they don't even approve of NIN, La Dispute, or even Breaking Benjamin, so I don't listen to him as much as I'd like to. It's kind of weird honestly. My mother and sister love basically all pop including Maroon 5... which actually has really dirty lyrics. My dad just likes country and older stuff. For some reason, both of them (plus my sister) hate all metal and rock which is what I like. Whatever.

I have no idea if they are the same girls, but one of them did go all out with a crucifix. If the are the same ones, crucifix girl is rude. The other one is actually nice. I know she mellowed out over the years though and can get her not so inner b**** on now and then. Heh.

So I though I would look for the YouTube link, I can no longer find crucifix girl on YouTube but I did find the following stills from one of her live shows, BE WARNED THIS ISNT FOR ANYBODY UNDER 18!, THIS CONTAINS HARD CORE PORNOGRAPHY, (mods feel free to remove if this has gone to far).

Actually Iam not going to post the link,
(But if you put Flesh is the law on YouTube it is the second link down posted by Doug Peters.)

Those girls are RUDE!

I went to one of his concerts the other day. It was alright, they played a bunch of my favorite songs, but it wasn't as exciting as I had hoped. :P I was hoping Manson would do more crazy s**t on stage, and that the mosh pit would be more violent.

Anyway, I think he's a neat guy, and a lot of his music makes a good point about the hypocrisy of American culture, society, and religion. It's not terribly complex, in fact most of it is fairly standard verse-chorus-verse stuff that's easy to sing along to, but there are much deeper messages to the lyrics than what people often think.

You used to be able to edit your posts even after they were up for a few days. Now, they only allow you to edit your posts up to 20 minutes after they've been posted. Makes it impossible to have "general" threads where the original post is updated every so often with new information, links, etc.

The girls I know never did tour out of the states. Maybe it is a personality requirement of the band that their go go dancers/performers must be at least slightly nasty in attitude? Heh.

As for Marilyn Manson, I also recently got the theme song from that show, Salem, as well. Cupid Carries a Gun. It is a good song, methinks.

I'm not sure what my favorite MM song is, but Irresponsible Hate Anthem, Coma White, and The Reflecting God are pretty high up there.
