I just discovered this little enclave of artists who all use FFT's Granulisation and Additive synthesis to create some of the most textured and complex compositions i've ever heard.
Electronic music is definitely moving in the direction of highly complex sound manipulation.
Anyone heard anything similarly abstract and "futuristic"? The interest here is in the texture of the sounds themselves as opposed to harmony or melody.
