A klezmer version of the Cardiacs???

And a Finnish band that turns every tune into a humpa song .... immensely popular

And did I miss it or did somebody mention John Zorn? Or the King Missile ... or Flying Luttenbachers ...

And some more ...

Black Eyes a non-typical Dischord band
Crucifucks mostly for their singer ...
Picasso Trigger American indie rock/punk rock band founded in 1989 in North Carolina
Crust
Phantom Tollbooth with their jazz punk metal

And a classic ... it doesn't get much weirder than him ... or?

And until now, I was the only person I knew who would share Humppa music with someone else. I love this thread!

Dude. Fever Ray. Wow, Karin Dreijer Andersson is amazing. Electronica doesn't get much weirder than The Knife. I also like Karin Park but she's not quite so deliciously strange. I knew Die Antwoord would show up eventually, I had their name bolded in gold paint pen unsing the zeffest possible font on the duct taped spoiler of my last car.

Anybody else here know how to get to outer Shpongolia?

So embeds for Soundcloud do nothing here but I already have a whole playlist of nutty experimental Electronica/livetronica from Sweden. Don't worry folks it's a WIP!

That album was written a couple of years after Devin became sober. The only drug he was on was his pure talent and creativity.

From what I read, it's actually what drugs he wasn't on. He stopped taking his bipolar medication because he said he made better music while unstable. Dude is a genius.

As ludicrously divisive as this one is for metal fans, it deserves to be here (Sweetleaf's gonna kill me...)
Yeah. J-Pop Speed Metal.

Funk-metal? Primus may as well be their own genre. :)

Dark ambient synth with Japanese biwa.

Charles Baudelaire's poems set to eerie Moog soundscapes.

The Klezmer Cardiacs were damn good. I bet their cat was having fun. Also "Hi, we're Primus and WE SUCK..."
Anyways everyone should post their favorite Die Antwoord.

I learned a couple of days ago that Die Antwoord was coming to my town. It would sound weird to most people but here it will make sense to some.... I got stuck in near shutdown anxiety over ordering the tickets.

An NT friend who has a lot of experience working with ASD people knew what I was dealing with. She got the tickets for me, plus the "fast pass" to let me skip the line. I just need to give her the cash and show up. And I'll be surrounded by people I know and trust so it won't be as stressful.

I CAN'T WAIT!

You owe me a bump w/ YouTube embed. I won tix from my college station and ended up visiting NY family instead of in the will call line.
I'll give you some Japanese strangeness for your troubles. This artist has some of the oddest syncopation & dissonance I've ever heard.

Well it's not as dark as what I was looking for as a response but I just learned this exists.
