These verses are meant to go with Scott Joplin's rag "The Easy Winners." Wrote 'em a couple years ago, actually. Never did anything with 'em, just like to sing 'em.

Intro:
I know something that you need to know, so be kind enough to lend me your ears! :D

First strain

Ask me the meaning of life on Earth
What is it all about?
Why are we here without answers;
How did that come about?
Where did they come from -- where will they go --
Moon and bright stars in the sky?
Ask me who could attempt to answer all these questions,
And countless, and sundry, besides?
(Repeat)

Second strain

The answer, simple and bold
Sought after by men of old
Has left them puzzled and bewildered to the point where they hold
That it's all pointless, all futile, relative, to whatever you
Want it to be and mean for you
The problem with this empty theory
Has always been misery
That comes from denying God
Pretending He don't exist
But, though we're stubborn to accept Him, foolish unto death
He's all that we have, so there's just one choice left!
(Repeat)

(Reprise first strain)

Transition to third strain
Now listen, if you're ready, to what God has planned for you and me:

Third strain
The Lord delivers,
And lifts up,
And prospers by faith
All those who love Him and obey Him,
And help His children in their troubles.
Trust in
His mercies
And give Him your life,
And you will reap a hundredfold in the end, as His word says.
Let nothing
And no one
Keep you from living in His will;
You shall be blameless, and Pure
If you'll only endure
Trials, and
Troubles, and
Satan's temptations
You will triumph in the end.
(Repeat)

Fourth strain

And it will all be done,
Forever;
He'll have completely won,
God's own Son!
Never
Ever
To struggle with our faith again!
That serpent's overcome;
Evil's death
At last has finally come!
That is the moral to the
Living, and
Loving of
The true Believer
Once a sinner, now a saint.
(Repeat)
Amen!

Ha, no. Music is totally sacred to me; I'd be more like a penniless monk music director than a rock musician. (Of course, there's always being a penniless rock musician. :lol: )

I'm more into writing than playing, and it's classical-style stuff -- Christian modern-styled operas. I'm all done with them, so, unless I can get some performances together, my music occupation just consists of playing the piano for my fiancé, and untold iPod hours during long walks.
