I'm not entirely certain, if this belongs here or rather in the computer-section, but I think, since it is some form of Art, I rather place it here. Please remove (or move) if you think otherwise.

Sooo...Anyone here into 3D Printing and willing to share their prints?
What have you been printing recently?

My most recent print:

I started building a 3-d printer from cannibalized printers. I managed to get a 2d platform working, so laser cutting is an option. I ended up using a Dremel to cut out the H-bridges for driving the stepper motors although modules are cheap enough these days... I just can't wait for delivery.
I shelved everything when my life fell apart, but I still have the mountain of crap and hope one day to design the remaining parts. The beauty of a DIY printer is scalability. Using cheap threaded rod as the lift screw I could make it 2 metres tall with ease.
I only have one A3 printer carriage, so at the moment one axis is restricted to A4.
I hope I haven't forgotten GRIBBLE by the time I restart this project.

It seems to me that starting with a table saw and a drill press is a good place to work out from.

Or source parts from ebay.

One’s first reprap or repstrap can be tricky.

I bought a small 3d printer and planned to work from there but my project planning is very poor. And something fell (cat, kids, can’t remember) on my small delta 3d printer now it is broken (two hot-end arms bent). I may take it to the Library maker space for advice and moral support.

Wow, that sounds like a lot of work! Let me know how you are doing! I'm interested. I am happy my printer works most of the time the way I want it to work. ;)

@Fenn
Oh no! Sad, that your printer is damaged. :( Hope you can fix it.

Two "Dummy 13" by "Lucky 13 Toys", a "K9 Companion" by "TClear" and a "Braq" by "BQEducation".
All printed with BambuLab A1 mini. (PETG and PLA)

Links:
Dummy 13(updated Version): https://makerworld.com/en/models/638587 ... eId-564186
K9: https://www.printables.com/de/model/691 ... nion-alpha
Braq: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:854575

Dummy 13 prints very nicely. Some parts I had to rescale slightly (on the second model), because they broke slightly on my first one, but the updated Version is said to have taken care of that.
K9: I have not managed to print this one nicely. The paws were impossible to put on without breaking, so I rescaled and played around with them, until they fitted somewhat. I used glue a lot with it.
Braq: I printed one in original scale and one scaled at 35%, and they went very well (with this remix: https://makerworld.com/en/models/547257 ... eId-465319) For the big version I used some felt inbetween the parts, for better friction. Small version is a pain to assemble.

Attaching two 3d printed pieces together without glue is tricky. One article I read suggested two different shapes for the holes and the pegs. Octagonal prisms for the pegs and cylinders for the holes. The type of plastic (PLA PET) and the print settings matter too. And time. This is the hardest thing to come by for me as a dad with a job and three kids and a wife. Free time is hard to find, especially in big blocks.

Yes, but if they are designed to be fitted together, it shouldn't be that tricky.

Some 3-d print objects I have made. The one top left was a 3d scanned from an ancient wooden chess set.

I'd love to get into 3D printing to make custom parts for toy cars.
