Finally got around to buying "Panopticon" by Isis.

Bought it on mp3 (although I vastly prefer actually having the CD and whatnot, the fact that albums can cost as much as 3 times more on CD just makes it too much to justify).

A lot of the music I listen to isn't distributed here, either. The CDs I mentioned earlier were both intended for countries other than my own. "Jupiter" was intended for Korea, while the one from Kobukuro was intended for Japan. I'm in the US.

i guess i could probably buy my music on ebay or some other website, if i wanted to buy overpriced and have none of the funds go to my bands.. but id rather not gives funds to anyone if it doesnt go to the band :x so i get my music from my friends over the net, and they get it from their friends, and it kinda leads like that from person to person till it was some guy in japan uploading the new Deathgaze cd onto some file hosting site or something.

And both CD and MP3 sound awful compared to vinyl. :P

My old MP3 player died, and I lost all my music, so I'm rebuilding my collection. Right now I'm downloading the entire discographies of Sublime and Jimmy Eat World. Before that was... Wheatus, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Ayumi Hamasaki(how's that for random??).

This "The Best Of REM" include any of his really old hits like "South Central Rain" and all the live performances before 1987. I'm like the biggest fan of R.E.M and have a lot of his music. Even the old records and concert tapes.

I pay for CDs and LPs, but I will not buy an mp3 or other computer file. Whenever possible, however, I will download an album to try before I buy it.

My latest order included the following:
CD - Colony by Bjorn Lynne
CD - Unearthed by E.S. Posthumus.

Before that it was:
2LP - Inventions For The New Season by Maserati. Cool red and white vinyl! (click for a pic)
CD - Wolves Of The Gods by Bjorn Lynne
CD - Population Override by Buckethead
CD - Into The Now by Tesla

My most recent acquisition consists of several classical LPs that my grandma gave me. I'm starting to get into that lately.

All in all, I have about 35 CD albums (some are doubles, though) and a small handful of LPs.
