Last records I bought:

Elvis Presley - Hitstory
Every Time I Die - The Big Dirty

Sometimes, I just want to masturbate over how eclectic I am.

"Magical Ring" Clannad ( nostalgia suddenly struck)

"The Storm" Moving Hearts ( after a very mixed/disappointing french/breton celtic music concert here recently I wanted to hear the real stuff!)

"Lovely Thunder" Harold Budd ( because I love "Gypsy Violin") :D

I wanted "Signs of Life" by the Penguin Cafe Orchestra aswell but it got lost in the post and the supplier didn't have a second copy so I took a refund and somehow didn't get round to reordering it elsewhere. :(

Amy Winehouse. She's like a cross between Billy Holliday and Aretha Franklin, with a touch of the 80s thrown in.

The ones I can remember are over a month ago. A Youssou N'dour compilation and Introducing Lemon by Cheer-Accident. Too poverty-stricken. Well, I feel like a right get saying that, but y'know, I'm no longer relishing my four albums a week days . . .

Nas - Illmatic

Hiphop is new to my plate (last year or two) so in AS fashion I'm proceeding mechanically to go back and try to school myself in the basics, the history, and at least be conversant with the 10 or so most important albums (recommendations of people who know). After that I'll branch out in the direction I like the most.

i dont generally buy my music, not because im greedy, selfish, or lazy, but because only 5% of the bands i listen to distribute outside of their country, or are popular enough to end up on mp3 purchase sites. its very frustrating :/ but if you ever hear a giant fangirlish scream in a CD store followed by a name you dont recognize, youll know i actually found somethign by a band i listen to, and i buy it promptly regardless of price XD this has only happened twice though... Dir en Grey - Withering to Death and D'espairsRay - Mirror are the only albums/artists i can find in stores here in america _-_;; i cant even find Elvenking or Rhapsody of Fire in american stores here, and theyre not even japanese!

A lot of the music I listen to isn't distributed here, either. The CDs I mentioned earlier were both intended for countries other than my own. "Jupiter" was intended for Korea, while the one from Kobukuro was intended for Japan. I'm in the US.
