I used to listen to far right/nazi punk bands such as Panzerfaust and Skrewdriver and laughed at their lyrics, clearly not the most clever song writers ever concieved

The funniest song is called something like "damn commies" the lyrics are just so lame

here we are

Quote:
We've thought of it with fear
For terror filled years
It reigns by shedding bloods
Would engulf us if it could

(chorus)
We keep on looking to the East
Can't you see the red flag of the beast
We keep on looking to the East
Would you dine with the devil at his feast

Come on you men of the West now
It's got its people everywhere
They're planning in their lairs
Spreading poison in our lands
To deliver us to its hands

We've got to stamp it out soon
Before it brings our nation's doom
Ideals should never bend
To ensure the traitor's ends

Oh christ if anyone takes these guys seriousy, kill yourself please

Quote:
I believe in the White race
A race apart, we've got a mile start
I believe in my country
It's where I belong, it's where I'll stay

Chorus:
For my race and nation
Race and nation
Race and nation
Race and nation

This old nation's in the hand of fools
Using people as political tools
If you stand up and you say that they're wrong
They'll put you inside, and say that's where you belong

(Repeat Chorus)

Something's got to change right now
The White race is going down and how
I'm not trying to depress you
Because I believe, we're going to pull through

(Repeat Chorus) x2

Linkin Park - not *supposed* to like them, people rail on em for being commercial, but Hybrid Theory still had a lot of good tracks IMO.

 wow, it's as though the vogons landed on earth and decided to form a white supremacy band!

my ex-boyfriend had a cd by a pro-IRA band called the wolfe tones. i never listened to it though because- judging by the cd's sleeve- they were a dreary, soft-guitar band.

that song could be interpreted as simply having pride in your race, rather than hating other races, but i doubt that's what they were going for.

I personally think The Sex Pistols are as they are the manufactured brain child of Malcom Mclaren. Anything that involves that man involves crime (though I must say The New York Dolls are criminally wonderful).
I will state that progressive rock is a guilty pleasure. But then again I have a penchant for The Shang Gri Las and Sandie Shaw.

Malcom McLaren didn't invent the Sex Pistols, and the music was not McLaren's music at all. Johnny Lydon sets the record straight in his book titled "Rotten, No Blacks,No Irish, No Dogs". --The Music was by his band, and he was responsible for most of it.

now i HATE the sex pistols

spelling mistake- my fingers are quicker at typing than my brain is at thinking (by the way, i am a slow typer)! :(

i agree, a cross between a vogon and wogan would be a terrible way for the human race to go! i don't know what i would hate more: listening to vogon poetry or listening to terry wogan's commentary on the eurovision song contest.*

* i've never forgiven him for being rude about belgium's 2003 entry!

yes, something else to blame tony blair for! having said that, i can't remember a single year when the uk has entered a decent song (oh, bad memory: people at school singing "ooh ah, just a little freak" at me! :( pathetic- "freak" doesn't even rhyme with "bit"!).

2003 is the only year i've ever watched it because it was the only year of my adult life that i wasn't working every saturday night. :( eurovision night should be a public holiday, in my opinion!

turkey won it that year.

Cat Stevens. Definitely a guilty pleasure. And no pun intended!

I'm looking for Pixies fans... anyone said The Pixies?

I also like to indulge in Dir en grey and The pillows.

I've also fallen in love wih Brazilian Girls lately, and Incubus has been on my list for a long time. Gorillaz is awesome... and so many more. These are the ones that come to mind at the moment ^___^

Oh, and catwhowalksbyherself... I used to listen to Cat Stevens when I was a young pup ^^ it was he, R.E.M., and Beethoven all the time ^^

Since we're doing lyrics...

Frank Black from The Pixies wrote:
(Caribou)
I live cement. I hate this street.
Give dirt to me. I bite lament.
This human form Where I was born
I now repent.
Caribou~
Repent! Re-pe-ent!
Give me white Ground to run,
And foregone, Let me knife.
Knife me let! I will get
What I like.
Caribou~
Repent! Re-pe-ent!

I spliced the lines together so it would be short ^^ I really like that song!
