You either love it or you hate it, but what do you think?

Well I'm a long time fan of the origional GNR, and I've listened to this entire album out of curiousity.

As "just an album", it's okay. Some of it I didn't care for, some I liked, most I just thought was nothing special.

As a GNR album, I feel it is a failure. It doesn't really fit with the older ones at all, Axl doesn't even really sound like himself on a lot of it.
The music is more just a filler than anything that grabs you, and the whole thing sounds way too overprocesses amd over mixed.

Not horrible or anything, but I'm not buying it.

I haven't heard it, but I wouldn't really consider it a real G'N'R record because the only original member of the band on it is Axl. He bought the band's name from the other members by threatening to refuse to go on stage right before a gig if they didn't all sign the contract. And I don't think any of them would want to work with him again anyway.

It's a f*****g ridiculous, brilliant, mess of an album and I love it.

It sounds AMAZING!...if this was 1999.

So yes, it's merely OK. Certainly not worth that long of a wait.

I haven't heard the whole cd at length, on the other hand I was driving my friend around to look at used cars maybe a month ago and the local radio station played probably 4 or 5 tunes from it in that time.

Really like what I heard. Sounds like they've grown up a lot in their production, a lot more mood immersive and as well they're keeping it relevant and even ground-breaking in its own right (and they did it *their* way rather than trying to sound like everything else).

Bloody terrible title.

I don't know what the music's like though, and I don't intend to find out.

Well, I'm quite a big fan of G N' R, but I don't think they've lived up to the standards of fans, basically, it wasn't as good as fans thought it would be, It's a decent album, and there are a few good tracks, but none of them are anywhere as good as the old ones..

Eh, its alright. It has more of a industrial rock feel then GNR's old hard rock feel. It lacks Slash style guitar work, though Buckethead and Bumblefoot's work on the guitar is both very good. The solos of the song "Better" are incredible.

Overall, a decent album. Not good, but above average.

I like it when they can blend the industrial and accoustic with class. Did listen to more of the album on Youtube, can see where some of the songs are in fact kind of so-so. Still, enough winners to where its still a lot better than the rest of the tripe that's passing for rock these days on the radio.
