I really like this painting from my recent trip to The Cleveland Museum of Art. It was one of my favorite pieces there. Anyway, I just realized that the entire vibe screams “blind date.”

Meh. I could barely make it all the way through the performance and couldn’t do so with the sound on. Not my cup of tea although I’m sure he’s very talented.

If a guy showed up to a date shirtless, I’d turn around and leave unless it was at the beach or somewhere like that.

My first boyfriend had a similar physique by the way. He should’ve pursued a career in sports. He could’ve gotten a basketball scholarship or something like that. That’s what he wanted to do and would’ve done if it wasn’t for religion. Anyway, I remember looking at his muscles and chiseled abs after we had been dating for a while and thinking: “This is totally lost on me.”

I would’ve loved him no matter what. Of course, I enjoyed watching him play since he enjoyed it and to support him, but that was the extent of it.

Surely you didn't assume I was suggeting that he goes like that to a diner.

Were you suggesting that people compete topless on cringey TV competitions as part of a blind date? If so, I’d still prefer that they wear a tee shirt because it’s awkward. I can see that you prefer topless, though. There’s a Spanish expression which I love: “Para gustos, hay colores.”
