Only you can answer that by knowing what type of girl she is. If she's a gamer girl, you could always get her a funny t-shirt.

In any case, how well do you know this girl because getting an expensive gift for a complete stranger or someone that is casual might come off in the wrong way, find out her level of interest in you first.

I'd go with maybe a T-shirt or CD of a band she likes... and I hope she's 12 to your 14. 10 would be totally inappropriate at your age... you should date your peers, not somebody with that much less life-experience.

The fact is that what is legal varies greatly by locale. In Texas, that would not be ok at all.

Statutory rape laws vary greatly by jurisdiction. Whatever it may be in one place means absolutely nothing about anywhere else. As I understand the laws in Texas, 12 and 13 would be rape.

If you don't know much about her interests I'm guessing you're not good friends with her? My advice would be to not spend too much money, she might find it a bit scary coming from someone she doesn't know well. At that age I would have liked a soft toy, or a cd.

for myself... i would probably react oddly to a present from an older boy at that age if i was not already "seeing" them. i would be VERY uncomfortable receiving a present from someone out of the blue. if i WAS seeing them, i would want something related to my special interests at the time.

ahhh, so you only agree with censorship when it aligns with YOUR beliefs. gotcha ;). that's a pretty typical response.
