I'm 41, I online date, and I get messages from guys ranging in age from 22 to 60.

My second-to-last boyfriend was nine years younger, my last boyfriend was a year younger, and the guy who's ahead of the pack to be my next boyfriend is four years younger.

I imagine I'd be at a disadvantage with guys who want babies; but since I don't want them myself, it doesn't matter.

Generally speaking men will go prefer a younger woman. This is mainly down to the fact younger slowly loses fertility as they age.Subconsciously, men look for fertile woman even if they don’t want kids.

However, personally I prefer an older aspie then most NTs my age. Age is considerably less important if you are very compatible and really like the other person.

I really don't care about age but my preference is 1-3 years older or younger.
Anything goes.

Indeed, there's a biological basis for the matter.
But, since I'd prefer NOT to spawn, you'd think
I'd seek my own age range (I'm 40). Instead, I've
always been more attracted to VERY young looking
women. I don't seem to age quickly, so at bars I'm often
presumed to be in my mid 20's.

Other than the appearance, which is simply a matter
of taste, I also fear that some of my proclivities might
just require someone not too set in their way, to enjoy.

I'm 19, and I don't really care who I am in a relationship with as long as they are mature.

The minimum age is 16, and the maximum age is 40. LOL! If I'm lucky enough to get a woman who's older than me...or a woman at all for that matter...:(

I'm a lot less focussed on fertility. I'm not even sure if I want kids. Considering many women have fertility issues I wouldn't reject them on that basis. Plus male fertility is declining anyway. I have no idea if I could put out in that respect anyway.

More important is we get on.

As long as they are at least my age or older (but not grandma old ew!), then I wouldnt feel weird about it. After the 40s/50s range Im no longer attracted. I am 19 years old.
However right now Im only focused on one person anyway

I'd imagine a large part of it is guys being mentally trained to the idea that unless they're really alpha s--- that older women won't want anything to do with them; at least if your talking early to mid 20's. I have friends who've dated up but then again they were just those sorts of guys where it doesn't really surprise me.

A 25 year old guy dating a woman in their 40's - most guys know that option is there, at least much more so than with a girl who's 3 or 4 years older, but at the same time it feels too much like an anachronism in the long term and from the way I've witnessed it it seems like most of the 40 something women really want the same thing that the younger guys want from them and not a lot more. The other thing though, a lot of the 40's who one of my friends has gotten with - they're weird, not in a way I feel real comfortable with, kinda like they've got a slight twist of borderline PD or something.

To OP - on another note I really don't think I'd want a girl who was much more than 5 years younger; maybe part of that is because I'm still in my late 20's and there's a still a big maturity gap but its hard to say.

A big part of it, for me at least, is the assumption that guys in their 20's who contact me are only looking for sex. I'm not there to provide "experience", thanks.

A significantly younger guy has an uphill climb to make to convince me he's not just looking for a good time.

I'd love to date a female older than myself. I've always been more attracted to older women I have no idea why.

Well, that's more the back half. When I said that piece I'm talking about early 20's dating mid to late 20's or the guys who were 14 dating 18 year olds; back when its more of a "Woah! How did you pull that off!?".
