I don't know what the laws are in the US, but in Canada, sex for money between consenting adults is perfectly legal. It's communicating for the purposes of prostitution, living off the avails of prostitution, operating a common bawdy house etc that are illegal. When getting an escort, I would be most worried about getting a girl who doesn't do good business, not her being a cop... That being said, I would never get a girl off the street. Although I hear that in big cities, they have a "high track" where the girls look like playboy models and cops never come around (as opposed to the "low track" where they are all cheap crack whores and the police are everywhere). Still though, the internet is the best for finding an escort. Many escorts have their own website too, with pics, rates, links to reviews, etc and how you can contact/e-mail them. All you need is to show up with money at the arranged time.
