Fnord, you are not a woman, nor have you spoken to all women to get their opinion on the matter. Until you ARE a woman, you can say nothing on what women want. Even then, you can't generalize it. People are much too diverse.

I'd say I want someone funny, that can make me feel good(about myself or in general, doesn't matter).
Someone who I find attractive, though that varies in so many ways I couldn't give you a list of traits I 'require'.
Someone who's not completely poor - I hate fighting about money. This doesn't mean he needs to spend it on me, just that he needs enough to care for himself.
And someone who can be romantic once in awhile, and let me do the same for him.

I think that LePetitPrince hit the mark much better than Fnord on this one . Aspie women are still WOMEN, and when I hear a person say what it is they're looking for I often wonder if they are being honest(its OK not to be when it comes to something as personal as this) and/or if they are actually conscious about what it is that attracts them. People often are unaware of their motivations for why the feel the way they do, but there are certain general types of traits that women look for in men.EVEN IF they're Aspie!

Just a few...

*Has a sense of humor

*Animal lover

*Creative in some aspects (I mean we have to have something in common.)

*Isn't afraid to show his sensative side.

*Respectful

*Wants to go to bed...

*A good kisser

*Has some goals set for himself. No I don't mean rich fnord but can take care of himself just as I can take care of myself.

That's all I can think of.

That wasn't really my point of my post, my post was to show the contradictions , ie. I want a man who's geeky yet sociable , sensitive and poetic yet macho , very funny yet very mature and serious ....

Those characteristics don't usually come in pairs.

I don't know you enough to respect you or admire you much - though I do based on your political views. Rest of it is all there. I almost joined the Socialist Workers' Party over here once.

Marry me?

Odd - I would say all those characteristics come in pairs... they are opposite ends on a spectrum, largely. Why do we assume that people are made up of absolutes? There are times when I can be social, but more times than not I'm in music-geek mode distracted by the rhythm of traffic outside the window. Generally, I veer more poetic... but I've made an ass of myself more than once when incited to a more primal reaction. It is where they fall most often and the range of expression that differs... to me, we all have these characteristics.
