Oh, wait. Only denigrating women is bad. Denigrating men is OK. Never mind. Carry on.

Couldn't agree more. Keeping this open is showing enormous double standards.

I don't think it would have mattered what you'd put, you'd still have seen a bunch of females saying how degenerating it was whilst turning a blind eye to the one they post on and have open - there's an old saying: "don't give if you can't take".

Can't say I'm not disappointed with the mod decision to only close the thread that "attacks" the women camp and not this one with it.

Screw L&D. Seriously.

The opening post and the choice of words in the title is the difference, the other thread was lockable.

Rubbish. It'd still have been locked and moaned about.

Both imply that men/women are only good for sexual things, you can't say that one is worse than the other.
What you posted is exactly what I expected some people to post. Double standards are clearly in action.

The mod who locked the other thread didn't even mention this one, which was the original thread. They don't even see it lol.

The female equivalent locked at page 5, here we are past 20.
Don't said that Boo. Feminism by definition is the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities. It is the theory of political, economic and social equality of the sexes.

That means feminists always treat men and women equally by definition. Therefore feminist double standards are a contradiction in terms, impossible by definition.

I didn't mention feminism, nor the whole issue is related to feminism.

Just join the revolution. :ninja:

I would like to remind people that this thread was not started by a woman as an attack on men, but was started by a man who was wondering why, from an evolutionary standpoint, does there need to be so many men, and who was reflecting on his sentiments that he is not a desirable mate.

The other thread, which shall not be named, was posed by a man as an attack on women.

So they were not equal and opposite threads.

To the original poster, to answer the question as to why there are so many men, when one man could theoretically impregnate as many women as he could have sex with, there are number of likely reasons for this.

1. In mammals, there is nothing in the biological process that compels males to produce sperm of one sex over another, so on average, the sex ration in sperm is 50/50.

2. In most mammals, males tend to fight with each other, and this does reduce their numbers, however in humans, though males also have an increased tendency to fight with each other, the sheer amount of resources needed to successfully raise human offspring means that a female with a dedicated male mate is more likely to see her offspring thrive, than a female without a dedicated male mate.

So men are actually quite important.

Unless you're being sarcastic, there are plenty of people who call themselves whatever they like and go against the very definition of what that is supposed to be. No one should be exonerated from their actions by default.
