Goat, I forgot if you said whether you looked at that flirting
thread. If not, you really should. I think there's more of value
in it than in most of what we can give you.

I'm often shocked how many times people say the two lines "If God is so good why is there war/famine" etc.
Here's my thing. Think about humans. We are, by nature, greedy, arrogant, rude, power loving. Lets say God decided to change the world tomorrow. Got rid of all war, hunger, everything that people consider bad. You think we'd all live in perfect harmony? I don't believe so. We'd find something to get riled up about - maybe not a full war but there are millions of little conflicts everywhere from neighbour disputes to civil wars.
The alternative is for God to change human nature. But then, we wouldn't be "human" anymore, would we.

What about natural disasters? Or epidemics? Accidents? And man-made suffering is not different, why wouldn't he protect the victims (could lock up the ones causing the suffering, evidently Hell doesn't work as a deterrent) I'm an atheist, but if you believe God is all-powerful, then he is responsible for all the suffering in the world because he chooses not to stop it. And what's so inherently wonderful about human nature that you consider it to be beyond improvement?

I agree with snake's fist post here
I mean hell , this guy us facing a serious psycological problem and he needs our advices but most of you trash him with "get a life /deal with it "words .

This autism forum for god's sake ,do i have to remind you what is it? autism means genetically impaired communication skill which can leads to psychological problems and angers and hatred of life ...that's why many autistics suicide !

So if we, the autistics, are going to behave like this with every another fellow who 's suffering some of the psyco consequences of this condition then hell for us , there's no need for such forum ...and we would be more bastard than any NT because we should know why he 's suffering .

don't understand me wrong , I don't think Ken's attitude is right...but your attitude is wrong too .

One of us thinks there is a God, and God loves everyone, and KenM's evil God is made up so he can cast blame on someone other than himself. This person also thinks we should all "BE SOCIAL FOR GOSH SAKE" and is "also the resident pastor around here", and I have to question the sanity of the person who appointed him to that position (ESPECIALLY if he appointed himself).

More than one. Read my first message carefully. I believe in God.

And Gamester, I am still waiting for your answer about how to be social. I'd still love to know.

Well, I found when I could look myself in the eye and smile at myself in the mirror, it became a little easier to look people in the eyes (I still can't look at my bf's eyes, it just...oh, off topic, sorry).

First, take a look at yourself. I know it's hard to change a lot of things, but a big thing I have had to change was talking. I had to talk about myself and my feelings a lot more instead of hiding behind my stupidity. When people know that something's up, they then know how to help, or can find someone who can.

Next, find a class you can take, like dancing (which I was forced into by friends, but it worked for me), or pottery, or music....because it's easier to be out in public when you're hiding behind doing something (did that make any sense?), and then you can work into conversations with people. Start with the "hi, how are you" and stop when you've both said "good". I learnt when I tried to carry on a conversation it turned awkward.

Just remember to only do what you feel comfortable doing......or else you will do what I did and go into a panic.

Oh, and before you can do any of this, you need to take responsibility. Because you have free will, and it is you who is choosing to be negative, and others do pick up on negativity.

Whew. COFFEE BREAK.

:)
