To some people it might seem rude. I dunno though.

I've blocked most people who I know on WhatsApp because they do that group thing and I can't be doing with it so I just block them. I can't ever remember anyone having a problem with me over it but then most people wouldn't let you know if they had a problem

I don't know what WhatsApp is Jamesy, but I don't think blocking a person would be rude under the circumstance. Correct me if I'm wrong but it sounds like they want you to go to the pub more, and you're not interested. You might also want to try telling them by text or in person that you can't afford it, you don't want to drink so much, or you're trying to cut back by pursuing other interests, assuming that's true.

We all want you to be safe and healthy, and do what you believe is in your best interest.

No never been on my own for this long

If it's on a social media platform I think you can also report them for harassment.

I'm sure there are things you can do around the house to keep yourself busy until their return. Have you cleaned up the house, washed your clothes and bedding, and cleaned out the fridge etc?
