ones who watch anime would understand this.
Who'd want a personal harem, I know I would
I'd finally complete one of my dreams (which I can't discuss here lol)

A harem seems like a lot of work. They'd need tons of hay to eat and a man to muck out the stables. I can't afford it on the JSA mate. And can you imagine the noise?

Outside the possibility that you're a Saudi prince, I think you'll have difficulty realizing that goal.

The novelty would wear off by the end of the week. Spending a night in a motel with the girl I've been on and off with for over 2 years alone is exhausting for me and I've got more endurance than any of the other 17 guys she's been with.

That's just more women that you have to please... day in and day out. You'd have your work cut out for you, to be honest.

And like pistonhead said, it would probably wear off in short order...

It wouldn't work out. There would just be a bunch of women nagging you to do stuff instead of one.

Well... I don't hate women but I don't think I'd want to be in a harem. :P

Just curious really - what is it about the idea of a harem that appeals? Is it the polygamy side of things or more the status of it, or something else?

Harems cannot work in a modern, forward-thinking society. They can only work under the notion that women are property.
This notion, is of course, ridiculous (personally, I'd take it a step further, and say the concept of "property" at all is ridiculous).

The most feasible form of non-monogamy in a modern society is the Poly-amorous relationship.

Ironic that someone would start a thread about their desire to keep a harem of women only to complain that the responses are misogynistic.

:?

It's much easier to love the one than the many. Marrying only one person means you can devote your full attention to him or her which is much easier than a lot of people.

I'm pretty sure that the social games in a harem would leave you gasping for air in no time. Get inflatables if you want a whole bunch of them :p

Love is not about having, it is about being

Considering that the females are often quite abusive towards the lone male involved in those situations I'd have to seriously think about that one.
