Random link stumbling, read this interesting take on the old bad boys thing.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/2010/ ... s-bad-boys

Quote:
The "dark triad" of human behaviour consists of narcissism (or self-obsession), psychopathy (including callous, impulsive, thrill-seeking, risk-taking behaviour) and Machiavellianism (exploitative, manipulative and deceitful behaviour). Bad boys exhibit dark triad traits and their behaviour

Quote:
If bad boys stay in one place and among the same group of humans for too long their psychopathy will be exposed. It has been predicted that this evolutionary strategy can only succeed if bad boys manage to achieve anonymity or lead an itinerant lifestyle.

Quote:
If given a choice, a female will apparently favour a brave altruist over an opportunistic risk-taker.

Quote:
Ironically, "nice girls" may be the only females who tolerate the dark triad male personality, forgiving these naughty boys and inadvertently giving them yet another chance to misbehave.

Dead horse? Anyone still interested?

A horses head is worth three in the bed

Old nick? The Devil? Taurus makes sense... perhaps with Saturn looming powerful

Wonder if I can find a birth time for old Niccolo...

i'm a taurus and i am pretty sure i am not machiavellian *in the slightest*, so i'd be reluctant to assign a blanket of badness to one single sign. moving on...

i wonder if we could alternately call "nice girls" something like "naive, trusting girls"?

Nah, I wouldn't say one sign was badder than the others. Just certain configurations suggest certain ways of being.

no, it leaves nobody for the nice boys, whether they're really nice or just "nice"...

Point is: true nice guys are too scared to ever make a move, and "nice" guys creep out women with their misogynistic tendencies.

ok, well... there are an equal number of women who would be left over in your equation. if you figure all of the nice guys are left out, then there are a matching set of single women because there are not many polygamists tying up extra women. who are these single women?

If you know any, why don't you send them my way? Because if there are single women out there (that don't want to be single), they don't want me. I'm not generalizing, I'm speaking from experience...
