Me and my friends rescued a bunch if flowers from a Safeway dumpster and passed them out to lonely looking people at the bars. lol.

That's what Valentines Day should be about, random acts of love for others. Little things can greatly improve someone's day. Too many of us walk around like zombies, almost caught on a cultural conveyor belt. We need to do little things to break that to ensure we all experience real, human moments.

Never did, nor do I have the slightest intention to do so in the near future.

I don't celebrate it in any fake notion of romance, but little kids LOVE it so I always buy my son something and let him decorate.

i love what you did - it's a beautiful idea (BOTH rescuing the flowers AND giving them to lonely-looking people).

I wont celebrate it, even in a relationship.

Mine was a lot of fun, especially because I didn't have a girlfriend when it began, but I had one when it finished :P
If I didn't know more about the texas sharpshooter fallacy I'd be saying it was destiny lol, because it was a completely accidental date that began with us meeting up so I could give her back her school notes, and ended up in a cozy, live-music bar. To be fair, it being the 14th of February was just chance, and even though it helped set the mood, it didn't play a big part then.
In the future I'd probably celebrate it lightly with a significant other, or just don't mind it that much, where I live it's not a big holiday anyway.

Only in a relationship, but that for me is as likely as my mum running for the American presidency. So no

Where did anyone find this thread? It's on the front page today and I originally posted it over 3 years ago. Haha.

I treat Valentine's Day with the same contempt that I treat falling in love with.

I have better things to do with my life than waste it on romance.
