What you need to do is stop catastrophising everything.
You're panicking and giving up over a MINOR social mistake. The type that even NTs have been known to make.

Perhaps he was just looking for a reason to give up? I do this sometimes. Well, quite often...the latest case being a group of friends I've cut off, because I find it so hard to figure out where I am with them. Two of them have taken a real disliking to me, but the others invite me out every now and again. I tend to lug people into a category and give up. I'm sure lots of aspies here can identify with this!

Um, no.

On the original topic, there's no point in self destructing after every mistake. There's no avoiding screw ups, so keep them in perspective and learn what you can from them.

I got him and the OP mixed up. Did it in the other thread too. They both have a B name in in thier title and a few common hangups. I just need to remember that briansrun is the one with more self-loathing.
