Objectifying the ideal woman....

I couldn't get any traction from the ladies in trying to identify a man (whether actual, fictional or historical) who would come closest to personifying their ideal. Not Bill Clinton. Not Barack Obama. Nor anyone else I could think of.

So, shall we give it a go, guys?

I would go with the character Mai Ling in the movie The Civilization of Maxwell Bright.

In my case i would pick out a guy, since women ain't my thing

My biggest movie crush is Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice. He isn't perfect, he's honest, when making mistakes he admits to it, and he is heartfelt and passionate/dedicated about the people he really cares about. I just find him amazing - his flaws and qualities both. His gentleman like behavior and his somewhat mysterious way of being also makes him a very interesting guy. Of course when you watch the movie/read the book you learn that there are specific reasons for why he finds it hard to let down his guard, meaning although he sometimes seems to be hard, under the surface he's really a sentimental and caring guy.

Sadly, most women in films these days are objects first, and people second. As a result, its hard to find any character that truly exemplifies what I'm hoping to find in a wife someday. What I value most are a common faith in Jesus, love, honesty, trust, and loyalty, above all else. I also want the woman I marry to be brave and selfless, not some "man-hater" with an ultra-feminist streak. One of the biggest failures of the "sexual revolution" was women being convinced they had to lower their own standards to the same level as promiscuous men, instead of rallying to make such men treat them better as they were.
