I'm NT my BF, an aspie. He consistently says that I need to do a better job at communicating. When I ask for details he says "what I mean is keeping each other informed as to what is going on". I believe I am a good communicator and have never been told differently. His statement leaves me puzzled, as I feel like I am a good communicator, but perhaps communicating the wrong things? We do not live together and both have young kids, so communicating every detail of every day isn't possible.

Any help on how to effectively communicate would be appreciated.

It sounds like he is a poor communicator and expects you to intuit what he needs and is frustrated that you are not doing that.

perhaps it would help if he gave you specific examples of scenarios when he felt you failed to communicate and then also tell you what exactly he had expected you would say in a perfect example.
