Warming up to people.
I've never been one to have many friends. It takes me a much longer time to warm up to people than what would be considered "normal". Its not that I dislike people or have trust isues or anything, thats not it, its just that I dont feel an emotional connection to people unless I have known them for a very long time. Now as far as just friends are concerned I dont really have a problem with this, but when it comes to love and dating it presents a bit of an issue...
You see, I have never been able to fall in love romantically with someone unless I learn to love them as a friend first. (i'm also still a virgin, not that it matters)
Ive tried online dating, but even after 10+ dates I rarely feel any emotional attraction. and most people give up on me by that time.
I'm honestly not sure if its as simple as i havnt found the correct person, or if I just need to stick with someone for a really long time.
Does anyone ellse have a similar experience?

Not me exactly, but I know an Aspie like this. You're not alone.
Most people may give up on you, but not everyone. Just keep trying and trying again until you meet someone you're compatible with no matter how long it takes.
