I'm sorta starting to get feelings towards someone I talk to online. Her name's Caitlin, and she's 16. She's just so cool, and so fun to chat with, and so nice to me. In fact, not only does she have a lot in common with Samantha, she even looks like her! It's not so big, but I think I'm starting to get feelings towards this girl. I'll never get to meet her, as she lives in Ontario, 900 miles and a border crossing away from me. It just sucks, as I feel she's perfect for me. She already has a BF, however. So how do I stop having these feelings grow? I eally like Caitlin, but I don't want to stop talking to her! I know I'll never meet her in person, so what should I do? HELP ME!! !! !

You could just be her friend. It's better to be with someone who you can actually meet than just someone on the computer. And besides, she already has a boyfriend. You can just be her friend. I don't want to go out with girls just because they look hot and have similar interests. I just beome their friend.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa... First off: how long have you been talking to Caitlin? And what does her boyfriend think of all this, if he even knows? This is the stuff Jerry Springer episodes are made of, and if it goes too far, it ain't gonna be pretty for anyone.

My other issue is that Caitlin had sex with Beau Du Jour simply to end the relationship with him. NOT a healthy thing to do - what if she gets pregnant by this guy? Again, this is a talk show waiting to happen.

Finally, and most confusing: SHE is his BOYFRIEND? As you said, "The guy thinks she's his BF."

Good you're trying to help this girl out, but remember, as bad as her current relationship is, you could wind up making it worse for everyone - including yourself - by encroaching on Beau's territory. You may want to turn your flame down and simmer a little bit before things boil over.

She is his GIRLfreind...that was a typo.

I met her on http://www.perspectives.com/forums, and I got SexiSkittle to register on AFAA as Cute1, and now we just chat via e-mail...it's been a few weeks now, and she doesn't even know yet.

I think you should get over yourself, leave these poor people alone. You're only 14, When I was 14 I was still playing with Dragonball Z dolls.

But you're still too young for this. You don't even need a girlfriend now. You're not going to get married anytime soon or something like that. Like Hale_Bopp, I was still playing with action figures and playing video games then. Well, I still do. Except I collect action figures and I don't play with them anymore. I still play my many video game systems. No girl is really interested in me, but I don't really care. I'm happy the way I am. You should be, too.

You should worry about girlfriends later, like in a few years.

On second thought, instead of turning your flame down, perhaps someone should call the gas company to report a leak. After I read the post you linked to on adviceforallages, I checked out some other parts of the forum (hey, I'm a curious guy) and ran across a very revealing post of yours in another thread there. I'll spare the details, but suffice it to say that you've got a newsstand full of issues to overcome before you take on a relationship. But if you get further into this one, and Caitlin drops it...let it go. Just forget you ever happened to each other and move on with no further comment. It's the man thing to do.

Look, you're 14. I had the same emotions you did at 14. Tempermental, outspoken, rebellious, etc. Luckily, no girl would date that. I say luckily, because I'm 16 now, and might be entering my first relationship soon.....a REAL ONE, and I'm probably still not ready. What you have is an over-infatuation with any decent looking girl willing to talk to you. I've been there too, you need to overcome this. Just try your best to strive for self-control and you'll soon be over this. Again, sorry to be harsh, but this part of my life was a real bump in the road.

Bad choice of words, maybe. The thread I mentioned is sort of incriminating, really, and I doubt it'd fly with the moderators to post it without prior approval. I thought about sharing it by PM request, but even that doesn't sound too cool. I'm gonna keep mum about this for now before I dig anyone in deeper.
