I don't want to keep going off topic on the other thread "Having trouble getting past the first date.", so here we are.

Yes you can. Adult Heads are roughly the same size on average. If one person is 6 heads high and another 4, it’s quite easy to calculate someone’s height. Also if someone’s head seems large in proportion to their body, it’s highly probable they have a small body.

What does this have to do with dating? Just trying to prove you cannot? My instant guess would be they are between 5 foot 8 and 6 foot. Want me to guess properly? I’ll need to do some calculations.

Other ladies can reply too, come on, demonstrate us your "I can know the guy's height from picture" skill.

Difficult, because if they were in separate photos I'd have guessed her to be shorter compared to him than she actually is.

I don't claim that I can tell from photos how tall someone is. If I have to guess, I'll say he is likely not extremely tall, as guys standing next to a woman who is not much shorter than them are usually not extremely tall.
I'll guess he's between 1.70m and 1.80m but that's just a random guess.

That said, it's possible to guess from some photos if someone is tall or short, but not generally in all and some can be misleading if the photo is taken from an unusual angle.

smudge guesses the lady is at least 5 ft 6. As for the man, 4-5 inches taller.

I would guestimate the guy's about 5 foot 7-8, and the woman is about 5 foot 2-3, since she's wearing heels.

Low 170's cm for the guy; around upper 150's for the woman.

Based upon my quick and sloppy calculations: She is five foot two, and he is five foot seven.

The tradition of rating race horses by how many "hands" tall they are got started because the width of adult men's hands are consistently four inches. .

So I quickly used the width of the guys hand, and marked off multiples of five times the width of his hand ( groups of 20 inches) to measure her, and then to measure the difference between him and her.

It's a trap. They must have some kind of extraordinary height. Boo's up to mischief again.

I would also guestimate that the photo was taken in the late 70s-early 80s.

Mum and Dad from back in the 1970's ?

Using H_B's magical formula the man works out to be about 5'4" for me.

To:Hale Bopp and NorthWind. If you're gonna give yourself a point spread as wide as four inches you might as well just say "I have no idea how tall he is". Lol!
