Why do men post topless pics? At least other men don't post topless pics that is good. They shouldn't post topless pics, women can not do it.

I edited my profile:

I love doing art (I do portraits & cartoons, I'm very good at it) I also write poems, I love to sing & dance.
I'm not very good at writing about myself on dating profiles. But I do want to find a man, I want a man that I can be friends with & take things slow, I want to really get to know someone, I don't want to rush into anything, I hope that a man will understand & can take his time with me. I want a man who will be honest, trustworthy, funny, a good listener, someone who will be there for me & I can share my life with. I really hope I can find love.

For the topless thing, I suspect they're hoping women will take one look at their shirtless torsos and fall head-over-heels in love.

I also suspect it rarely works.

Probably same reason women use pictures of showing their cleavage or wearing very revealing clothes or just their underwear. Sex appeal. Most Women love shirtless guys with six packs. Tv shows geared towards women are full with them.

The real question is why people bother with dating sites at all.

Well, in my case I had no other options and I will rather naive. Looking back, there is a reason every eHarmony woman that I still see in real life is still single to this day. Sure it might have been a waste of time but I can at least I can say I tried it. I actually DID meet my (soon to be) Wife there but we would have met anyway: she had her eye on me through another non-dating site.

I personally appreciate such honesty and personally share that sentiment but in my experience, this is code for "I am not ready to date and will waste your time."

Aside from the obvious, I would gather than many men get frustrated with the ridiculously low response rates and try this in frustration. Clearly a terrible strategy but I can understand why someone would do it.

That why I edited out later & now I'm getting a little more men wanting to talk to me. It hurt a little when a guy don't find you attractive. I have 2 guys bookmark, do I have to go on their profiles to remove them? I wish I wasn't very attractive to one of them.

I know I like it too seeing them topless, but why their first picture of them topless with no head?

I used to always skip past the guys who posed topless. They always turned out to be arrogant and rude always asking personal questions and for pictures

I lived in a rural area & cant drive because of a low vision disorder. The area was conservative religious & I'm a socialist/progressive Secular Humanist. The odds of me finding someone offline were next to none.
