Post your Good idea / Bad idea (for dating).

This is meant to be somewhat humorous (i'm thinking Animaniacs style)

Here's one of mine...

Good idea:
Asking someone about their interests in a first message on a dating site.

Bad idea:
Writing only "dtf?" as your first message.

You get the idea. Go nuts

I think we over analyse what to say or do. Just treat them like a new friend you're getting to know.
Long as their isn't talk about moving in, marriage, kids ect you'll be fine lol

Good idea: Talking about eventually going on a date somewhere.

Bad idea: Talking on and on and on without ever mentioning going on a date.

That above one, I know women who would totally be into shrunken heads.

Below one, I'd prefer neither but bagpipes would be more entertaining.

Are you sure about that, the first part I mean?

My family is like a cesspool of crazy or something.

'Good' Idea: Subtlely make it clear how 'well-travelled' you are, and try to use the phrase 'good food' at least once or twice.

'Bad' Idea: Try to impress the other party with your extensive knowledge of serial killers.

I'd probably be more comfortable in a dating situation if these designations were reversed, but then again I'm pretty weird....

Most times, talking about the family "breaks the ice."

Actually I'd switch them too, as long as you aren't endorsing the serial killers.

I certainly don't endorse or admire serial killers, but I do have a fascination with the phenomenon.

Bad Idea: Bring your mother on the date.

Then it becomes something interesting in the conversation that is more likely to be remembered than vague travels.
