So it's happened... I have a crush on someone. First time since middle school.
Here's where the question comes in. I'm awkward AF and I get super flustered, but this guy says I'm cute and adorable, so the crush is kind of mutual. So uh... how do I handle these feelings? It's weird, but a good weird. Any advice?

The problem with advice, for Aspies, is that the person receiving it may be so focused on the advice that they distance themselves from the object of their desires. In other words, try being present and genuine with your crush.

Another problem with advice on a forum for autistic people is some of it may be BAD advice. Taking it might actually harm your chances.

Good luck! It sounds like both a happy, and a scary, place to be.

What's an "AF?"

I agree with Bea. Just go with it.

And don't let the other person take advantage of you.

It must be one of the lovebugs that exploded from my chest cavity last time around. I think yours was named Bob.

Too late, they laid eggs all up in your brain.

Actually lovebugs reproduce using aerosolized spores. I've been coughing them up everywhere.

You should all probably get checked.

Thanks for the genuine comment. :) And yeah, that's probably a good idea. I didn't really even think about that until you pointed it out.

I don't think there are lovebugs in Colorado. There most definitely are in Alabama where the OP lives.

Actually I believe they collect on your windshield when you go driving at night.
