It’s not that uncommon to see taller women dating shorter men.

The height difference generally is under 5 inches.

There are many, many women who are under, say, 5 foot 2.

I’m a short man, as you know. Just under 5 foot 5. I have gone out with taller women. I’m no Alpha Male.

Not sure it is? In Australia it's uncommon. Sometimes you see teenagers dating where the boy hasn't had his growth spurt and the girl is wearing heels for the first time.

Obviously, it's most common for the man to be taller than the woman. But the inverse is not all that uncommon.

I've gone out with women taller than me before.

I only ever dated one girl taller than me and it didn't really bother me either. I did have a female friend for a couple of years who was taller than me but she was never interested romantically so was always in the friend zone.

I remember one night we met up and she was in "stripper heels" so towered over me. I recall a group of drunk men walk past and laughed dropping some comments about our height difference (I'm 5foot9.5 and she would have been 6foot1/2 with heels). Obviously people notice these things.

She always dated men who were well over 6 ft.

It's easier for a taller woman than me to go out with me. I'm just under 5 foot 5.

Aka "White-dominant" countries. Most of the short guys are really minorities, it's actually less "normal" if a Caucasian male is shorter.

I think there's some truth to this if you are talking about east Asians. Males here in Oz are generally really super tall these days.

East Asians in the US are close in height, on average, to European and African Americans.

Especially if they were born here.

My height hasn’t been much of a detriment.
