Two days in a row I saw a coworker, enter the building, while I was leaving. She smiles at me casually. I would like to find out who she is and find out about her. I would like to ask a friend to do a reconnaissance job for me about her. She works second shift and I am on first. Thoughts anyone?

I don't think that would cause any apparent problems (maybe for you in your brain if you remain attracted to her). I would just be careful getting too close to people at your work because if some issue arises you could find yourself out of work. I don't mean to sound harsh :|. Who knows though, maybe you'll both really hit it off and it will lead to something.
