So I striked up a conversation with a girl in public and then gave her my number. After a few days of waiting I gave up. but I got a call six days later? She only called for four minutes. Not the most interesting conversation on
My part. I don’t understand what motivates her if she waits 6 days to call and then only talks for 4 minutes when she calls

I’ve started doing improv acting which has conditioned me to think people will react well when I take a risk and to go off the beaten path in conversations (I think)

That's a great idea to learn improv acting and it sounds like it worked!

When I met my partner he gave me his number and I took almost a week to text him.
