Look at this cute video:

https://fb.watch/iC-V6iyBVT/

Now, check the ladies’ comments below the video. *Plenty* are commenting that they want both, the guy (who’s handsome, fit and lives on his own) and the squirrel. There is like 100+ comments in a row by ladies all saying they want the guy too.

I bet this guy doesn’t struggle to find potential gfs (or bfs if he’s gay) if he doesn’t already.

I bet also if the guy with the same squirrel was ugly or fat or too skinny; no such comments would have existed, so no it’s not the squirrel’s effect ;).

I remembered recent debates, this exactly what me and Nades mean when said that looks help big time in having dates yet deniers always come and say “no we only care about personality, no looks at all”.

The way I see it appearance is what initially attracts 2 people to each other and everything else comes after

But when you get older your looks fade and if a guy just likes you because you're hot or sexy then he is NOT the kind of man you want to spend your life with!

Guys who base attraction on appearance only want ONE thing...

I like the man's face and he seems like a fun, easy-going person. He cooks and he's good with animals. I'm not into his body-type at all and it's actually kind of off-putting to me. He moves like he's made of clay or something. It's hard to describe. I wouldn't want to hug him or shag him because it would be like hugging rocks. If I needed someone to lift up my car in the air he might come in handy, but I don't do that very often.

The squirrel's behaviour is cute because of their bond together but I wouldn't want a pet squirrel, or any pet jumping on me like that. It's cute to watch though.

Also, how are people deniers for expressing their own opinions when asked?
What are they denying? Your beliefs?

Not my belief, but denying common sense.

Anyway Miku nailed it.

Not always. I got hooked on personality weeks before I saw, and the first photo was one of the worst.

Maybe I'm bizarre (as usual) but I don't think appearance means face and body alone. I think it means the way the person "appears", like their vibe or style, whether they're clean or dishevelled, if they have a look (rocker, bodybuilder, nerd, athlete), or how their mood appears (do they seem cheerful, goth, quiet, outgoing, etc.) Most people do meet by seeing each other before other means of contact, whether they first see each other online or in real life. It stands to reason that it's the first thing that attracts people because, otherwise, why would we talk to people if they didn't attract us in some way?

Attraction doesn't mean that all women or prospective partners are attracted to the same things or for the same reasons. The person doesn't have to fit a stereotye. I'm attracted to lots of fat, lonely looking guys because they often have a sad look in their eyes and that "attracts" my attention so I'll want to talk to them. I'm attracted to rocker types, metrosexual types, nerdy types, Little League coaching types, brooding intellectuals, anarchists, trans people, gay men, older men, a few women, and anyone who has that certain energy which matches mine.

Appearance usually happens first, but if the person is an asshat their appearance won't save them.
Likewise if I meet someone with a bad appearance but they treat me with respect, I'd like them better.

^ Don't forget voice and scent. They are part of physical appearance that are not strictly "looks".

But I agree. Appearance is largely about "vibe" that you like or not. The way one moves, the way one speaks, facial expressions and so on. That's why people become more attractive when they stop being desperate and get their lives together into something relatively satisfying. Body and face are the same but the vibe is different and it matters.

Yeah voice is a big one for me. A woman at my last job had a voice of a rubber chicken, I swear, and it carried across the whole building.

If we replace this guy in the video with someone ugly and does *exactly* the same things (cleaning, cooking, cuddling the pet… etc) he would still not gather 100+ of flirt comments.

I have watched plenty of such videos on Dodo channel, most don’t gather a single flirty comment on their appearance.
This one guy is handsome. Period.

In a video, all you have is looks.

But, actually, one of the most popular celebrities in Poland:

I think some people are in denial about certain things being a factor for who they decide to date. Saying that looks or money is majorly important to them makes them sound shallow & they would rather pretend otherwise to save face. They may not even be willing to admit it to themselves.

Don't get a pet chinchilla. Ours was bouncing on me earlier while he was out. Kinda hard to fidget while playing xBox or watching TV with him jumping on my leg so he can jump on top the TV stand, or jumping on my back from behind the sofa. I still have some scratches on my back from a couple weeks ago that I keep scratching due to their itching; they woulda healed if I quit scratching for a few days.
