The importance of looks

I do experience physical attraction…..most of the time, “looks” is but a small part of the attraction. I like “character” in a woman. Sometimes, women with “character” are not stereotypically “good-looking.”

If I was attracted just to “looks,” it would be like wanting to make love to a mannequin.

I bet it is way more than 100, there’s about 19k comments, but whenever you scroll you find women commenting on his looks.

What happens when they actually meet the guy in person?

I can post my picture with a cat….and get similar responses….but when it comes to actually MEETING someone in person, who knows?

It’s really just a photograph….which could be doctored.

Looks might help if only a fling is desired….but, more than that, people really get tired of others fast.

It takes a lot more effort for people to have sex with each other than it is to comment on how “cute” someone is.

You will simply not get similar responses, be real. I have watched many such cute pet videos, nothing was like this one.

Maybe the younger you would, I dunno.

Meeting him in person is not the point of this thread.

Similar to the buff studs in work. The two main ones have their phones constantly pinging and ringing from women. I see them shoot off all the time to take phone calls and regularly get shown pictures of the women they're speaking to who are definitely not "fake". I've seen a few in person before.

They have a sizable social circle, much of whom are met at gyms.

One of the men has amazing charm, even with other guys and the other, while slightly shorter is probably a bit heavier on the muscle.

Truly, the one-night-stand thing gets old really fast.

Except, these women in the comments are not necessarily gym people. I am saying that before Isabella and Twilightlight say something like "but maybe it's only the gym people are like that...".

The industry I work in has a sizable chunk of people like the guy in the video. I've been watching the difference between the leaner, muscly types and the chubby types. The difference is stark. They get a lot of attention and much of it is from the female equivalent of themselves.

It's partly why I decided to start working out myself, that and being lanky anyway. I'm starting to get a nice little "V" going on which I never thought was possible.

I’m not sure what the demographic is of those who post comments in such places. It’s not necessarily reflective of the female population as a whole.

I certainly wouldn’t post comments like that. Most women don’t and wouldn’t.

Perhaps women who are primarily interested in looks are more likely to post comments. It doesn’t say anything about those who don’t post. People are not all the same. We like different things.

I’m not sure why comments on social media would be considered compelling evidence of…anything.

Because people of all sorts use social media - and those people are certainly animal lovers.

I’m not into cute cat pictures or videos. I just find them really boring. I like my parents’ cat, though.

Other than WP, I’m only on Reddit, primarily to talk about cults, the piano, and learning languages.

It doesn’t mean that people of all sorts would post about this specific person’s looks.

It’s a very strange argument.
