The other reason why women have trouble dating is the simple situation:

Men fear that women will laugh at them.
Women fear that men will kill them.

It's the inequality of the relationship: going on a date with a man we don't know well could end in our deaths. Usually the worst thing that could happen to a man going on a date with a woman he doesn't know well is that she will make fun of him.

Of course there are exceptions, but that's the general situation.

All the more reason to legalize guns. Female paranoia of males is a remnant of ape evolution, it is not as applicable in modern times when there are guns. The gun is the great equalizer nowadays, it is not enough to merely give females guns, gun training is recommended as well.

I wasn't even thinking of guns because there aren't many guns in Britain. I was thinking more of beating, strangling, stabbing, raping.

Also, if a man with a gun attacks a women with a gun, the man will still overpower the woman because he's stronger.

Men just need to learn to control themselves. And decent men need to call out men with bad attitudes to women and stop them continuing to treat women badly.

It’s not that simple.

I don’t think a lack of self-control is usually the problem.

Lack of self-control is part of the problem but you are correct in that it's not that simple. What needs to occur is a gender imbalance where there are more females than males in society and then the societal problems will begin to automatically correct themselfs.

Those things happen in Britain because there aren't any women who have guns, and also because they made Pepperspray illegal over there. So males can do whatever they want to women knowing there are no serious life threatening consequences for their actions. Every man on the streets, once knowing a woman packs heat, usually decides not to cross a woman like that. Only the most ruthless and foolish men of society would mess with a woman who they know packs heat.

Strength is irrelevant in that situation, accuracy is more important. And the odds of that happening are extremely low, like its extremely unlikely for an abusive ex to get in a shooting war with their gf, or 2 of them pointing guns at each other. I suppose it can happen but if it did strength wouldn't really be a factor.

My experience with sexual assault had nothing to do with a lack of self control. It was planned, premeditated, and based on a desire for control.

People have the right to disagree with it.

I feel like I’m along similar, but not identical lines.

I’m not bitter toward any couples when I’m seeing someone.

Nor am I bitter to any women who turn me down now because I can say I’ve had a relationship and some romance in my life.

However, those girls/women who turned me down in high school and college, those wounds still run deep.

I wish I could’ve had a relationship in high school and college - experiences I wanted to have, badly.

But life has gotten better in some ways since then, and not just in dating.

Remember that life can be better for you, too, when you get older, including relationships.

Jealous/envious of young people having something that you never experienced in life.

ya, thats why its been a common religious belief, that, after we die, that we come back reborn again as someone else, if that did happen, in the next life, to do it all over again, i would not mind coming back being a woman, or if i was born a guy again, maybe seek help from a dating coach as soon as i turn 18.

I’ve had a sh***y life, but I’m still glad that some people find happiness.

I don’t think I’ve ever experienced jealousy and don’t fully understand it. It’s strange because it’s a normal, healthy human emotion as long as it isn’t carried to extremes.

Competitiveness can bring a sense of jealousy, if a person is being out competed by another. I have experienced jealousy in this form in the past, but it is usually transient and not long-standing. I rationalise that people with seemingly perfect lives, often simply portray this to be the case, rather than it actually being the case.

Most working class folk have a struggle of some kind.

You single people don't know how good you have it. Being single is awesome.

Some of us actually don’t like feeling lonely.

And some feel extremely lonely in their relationships. Not to mention abuse.

Relationships are tricky, even the happy ones require hard work to keep them that way.
