Not wanting to be with you as a boyfriend, when she already has a boyfriend, doesn't mean she doesn't care about you.

She probably just views you as a friend and nothing more. It is normal to care about friends.

You sound like you are falling for the first bit of female attention that you are receiving from someone. You need to accept she has a boyfriend and shelf any romantic feelings that you have for her, because as others have said, this whole infatuation could sabotage your friendship with the couple if you are not careful.

Often the older person has a lot of financial security or a wealth of experience to contribute to the relationship.

The girl who grew up in the house I bought decided that instead of going to college, she'd get married and raise a family. They used her college funds to buy a bigger house!
