Anyway yes I've decided love is just one big nervous aching pain in the chest. I don't even want to think about the angst of laying next to someone. Do you know what? I think I may be afraid to enjoy anything, its like constantly shooting yourself in the foot. Love is projecting something unreal, sublime onto a being thats really rather dull.

"love" is nether to be believed in nor not believed in.

it is a chemical reaction of pheromones and phenol ethylalanines. lasts 18 months to 3 years, developed as a breeding bond until the kid reaches an age they don't have to be carried.

agriculture tied people to the land made the 'life long' bonding proscribed by the religions, but that 'crush' bonding continued in 'romantic' ideals, but it is still that hunter-gatherer thing poking through the veneer of 'civilization'.

I believe that love exists. But for me, it can only be expressed by me if I am with someone who I feel is perfect for me.

I don't know wether to believe in "love" or not, I understand the love one parent has for his/her child, that's pure love, unconditional, but within couples, more based on attraction than anything I guess, wouldn't seem to be that pure love exactly. At least in many cases.
