One thing that makes it hard for me to meet people is that I tend to assume most people feel the way I do. I get super annoyed when a stranger or some random person comes over and starts talking to me by making random small talk. If there's something relevant to discuss that's one thing, but this is something else. If I see a girl I'm hesitant to say anything because I assume she'll just be annoyed because that's how I am. Anyone else deal with this?

Yeah, I have a tendency to do that. If you read up on the Meyer Briggs personality types, it helps. It may not be 100% reliable, but at least it gets you thinking about how other people view the world.

We did the test during my college course: turned out that myself and my 3 closest friends all had the same personality type (a mix of INTP/INTJ). I suppose it could be argued that we get along better with eachother because we have the same way of thinking.
