Download A Perfect Circle - Mer de Noms - Magdalena now. It's a song of an all-encompassing, life-altering love, the kind you'd give everything for. It also sounds good.

Overcome by your
Moving temple
Overcome by this
Holiest of altars

So pure
So rare
To witness such an earthly goddess
I lost my self-control
Beyond compelled to throw this dollar
Down before your
Holiest of altars

I'd sell my soul
My self-esteem
A dollar at a time
One chance
One kiss
One taste of you, my Magdalena

I bear witness
This place
This prayer
So long forgotten
So pure
So rare
To witness such an earthly goddess

I'd sell my soul
My self-esteem
A dollar at a time
For one chance
One kiss
One taste of you

I'd sell my soul
My self-esteem
A dollae at a time
One chance
One taste
One taste of you, my Magdalena

Most of my favorite romantic songs come from the rock band Dokken.
Here's the list:
Slippin' away
Alone Again
Into the Fire
Don't Lie to Me
I Can't See You
there's many more

Song makes me feel dirty all over. One of my least favorite on that album.

we all wanted that high school sweetheart...
we all wanted to be 13 and alive and meet a girl who was 13 and alive...
to sit and hold hands...
to walk past the grand stands...
...
so let your smile twist,
like my heart dancing precariously on the edge of my fingerstips...

I only care about a song's 'romantic' value when it has some pertinence to my own relationship, and that makes it a powerful experience.

For instance, Air's 'How Does it Make You Feel?' (video here for those interested at all):

Quote:
I am feeling very warm right now
Please, don't disappear
I am spacing out with you
You are the most beautiful entity that Ive ever dreamed of

At night I will protect you in your dreams
I will be your angel
You worry so much about not having enough time together
It makes no difference to me
I would be happy with just one minute in your arms
Let's have an extended play together
You're telling me that we live too far to love each other
But our love can stretch further than the eye can see
So, how does it make you feel?

How does it make you feel?...

Do you know when you look at me
It is a salvation?
I've been waiting for you so long
I can drive on that road forever
I wish you could exist to live on my planet
Well, it's very hard for me to say these things in your presence
So, how does it make you feel?

How does it make you feel?....

So, how does it make you feel?

[Well, I really think you should quit smoking]

I don't think we do the official 'our song' thing, but when my boyfriend and I listened to this together, he said it should be. The whole thing fits us (except the end line). The song has a lot of creepy pertinence and deep connection with us that I can't explain on here, though.

Aside from that, I've already posted in a thread about Air's 'Biological' (don't tell anyone I snuck it to you, which is, in my opinion, the hottest damn song ever written:

Quote:
Thousands of hairs
Two eyes, only
It's you

Some skin
Billions of genes
Again, it's you

XX - XY
That's why it's you and me

Your blood is red
It's beautiful genetic love

Biological
I don't know why I feel that way with you
Biological
I need your DNA

Your fingerprints
The flesh around your bones
I'd like to know
Why all these things move me

Let's fuse ourselves to be as one tonight
A part of me would like to travel in your veins

Biological
I don't know why I feel that way with you
Biological
I need your DNA

Just listening to the song is like foreplay, since it jibes so well with how I feel with the one I love. Ugh, it gives me that tickly feeling all over.

All my other romantic songs tend to be instrumental.

in terms of romantic music im a big jeff buckley fan myself, it's probebly a cliche thing these days though but i think his lyrics still hold romantic weight and meaning...

jeff buckley ~ everybody here wants you

such a thing of wonder in this crowd,
im no stranger in this town,
you're free with me,

i'm only here for this moment...

i know everybody here wants you,
i know everybody here thinks they need you,
been waiting right here just to show you,
how love will blow it all away.

Only two of I can think of off the top of my head:

Billy Joel - Just the way you are
Faunts - Of nature

Well if you're aiming for comedic purposes, you're not going to beat Bloodhound Gang - The Bad Touch...
