This was brought up in the what is true love thread.

Never quite heard the term before, but the description does seem to fit. A love that makes you act irrationally, making you willing to do anything, give up anything, for the other person... yep I sure got it.

Same person stated that after at most two years, all the feelings would be gone. Well, I don't know about this personally, but I have read a study somewhere (if only I could find it) that stated that the levels of a specific hormone seem to go up in a person when that person first starts a new romantic relationship. After a while the levels go back down again, though most long term couples still have feelings for each other beyond this point...

The article about the study was about being addicted to love. Has anyone ever felt like they were addicted, either to the person they were in love with, or to the sensation of being in love itself?

I definitely go overboard at first. If my oddness hasn't driven her away by the time we start dating, my over-enthusiastic amorousness will do the trick.
I may be addicted to the idea of being a hopeless romantic.
I lose my rationality as soon as I realize I am attracted to someone.
