Just to clarify, when you said people at my age do you mean teenagers? I'm 19, but I skipped two years of school (went to university after my O levels) so most of my classmates now are in their twenties. The guy in question is 24. Not sure if this changes anything.
I don't get why they'd bother trying to establish themselves as superior by bothering me. They've got loads of friends in that class and I'm alone so their superiority in terms of the size of their social circle would have already been established without trying to make my life hard.
