My friend got himself a flat 5 minutes walk from me.

We haven't socialised much together in the past 2 years. (Too much effort when it was an hour round trip)

I'm worried I may go visit too often.

Is almost weekly too often?

It's always a good idea to call or text before visiting someone. I don't know about you or your friend, but I hate it when people drop by unanounced.

Do you run out of things to do?
If not, it's probably not too often.
And like the other people said. Talk about it before going over.
