Is it weird if I'm not interested in RPG shooter online games like Halo, Mass Effect, etc.? All my friends in university like those games, as well as my friends on a forum site. But I'm not, I gave up playing WOW after playing like only 10 minutes or something... not that it's hard or anything, but it wasn't my cup of tea... :(

The only online game I seem to like is playing FSX online. There's a multiplayer mode, and that is so far the only online video game I enjoy, but neither of my friends, rear or on that forum site, show such interest in it. And it's really like I'm... well, I don't want to explain it...

What should I do to cope with this problem? Thanks..

That sounds like something I would say. The only FPS game I've really gotten into is MAG, everyone else plays CoD. Lots of people play MMORPG's, I don't like them at all. I'm more of an RTS kind of guy, and hardly anybody likes those. And it's funny you mentioned FSX, I just reinstalled it yesterday onto my computer. I love the game itself and all of it's realism and complexity but even with my 3.2GHz quad core and Radeon HD 5770 graphics it brings my rig to it's knees begging for mercy. I know exactly what your situation is, and I don't really know how to deal with it either.

Everyone has their own taste in things and there's nothing wrong with that. I do understand that liking something different than the rest of a social group can make a person feel like an outsider though.

Is there a way to compromise with your friends? For example, that you all agree to play an RPG for a set time and then play FSX for a set time. Or is there a site specificly for people who enjoy SFX?

There's nothing wrong with someone who likes something different from their peers though.

I may be the same way.. I do not enjoy arcade or reflex shooter games. The game has to engage higher functions in the brain.. has to make me THINK for it to be enjoyable.

If you like realistic aviation you can try an MMO called ACES HIGH. Its WW2 and WW1 era and its definitely not a shooter-up game; its a simulator. PC game.

There's also DCS A-10 Warthog , DCS Black Shark (helicopter sim) which are 100% realistic single player with multiplayer capability games.. the manuals are 400 pages long and most of it is just the pre-flight sequences to turn the engines on and stuff LOL.

No good... And I don't want to rub their faces on the ground trying to force them to play the ones I like...

I'm using another flight simulator, Condor, which is specific at gliders. But whenever I try to play multiplayer, it seems empty because of my timezone.. :(

Sorry to hear that my advice is not of use. I wish I could give you more effective advice.

Is it possible to make contacts (in the game part of WP) here who like flight simulators and organise a time where you are all online at the same time?

I might set one up, or set up for another flight simulator..
