I'm not being sarcastic or anything. I am just curious with how many NT friends and aspie friends you have. They can be either aqquaintaces or close friends. I have 1 close friend who I am loosely in touch with (seeing how he went to a different Secondary School to me) and about 1 or 2 good friends which I have a good, steady relationship with.

I have 2 AS friends.
I used to have 1 NT friend (Girl 1) in my class but she left :(.
Her friend (Girl 2) says that she (girl 2) my friend.
Another of HER friends (Girl 3) once made fun of me but Girl 2 would not get involved, meaning that she (Girl 2) puts her other friends first.

Sorry if that sounds very confusing but it's the simplest I could have put it.

I have no friends in my class or year but my 2 AS friends are in the year above me at school.

Hmm...

I wrote up a list and I was able to remember 35 acquaintances (18 live in the same town that I do). Of those, I am reasonably sure that 7 are friends (of them, 4 live in the same town that I do).

I met twenty of them through religious organizations (4 of which are my friends).
I met five of them online (none of which are friends).

Three of my friends seem AS, and one is just really weird. The other three are NTs, but one has a brother who is AS.

Also, I have counted 9 people whom I do not recognize, but address me by name... Two of them acted very familiar. I think that those two probably consider me a friend, and the rest consider me an acquaintance.

There's 4 people in my class I talk to every day, and two more from my old school; I'm pretty sure all 6 are friends.

Then there are other people at school I talk to in the hallways or during recess but I'm not really sure if they're friends.

I think many people define "friend" much too loosely. A friend to me is someone I can have a good deal of confidence in, feel darned comfortable and not self-conscious around, and fart around public places with. And the feeling has too be obviously mutual. It's not someone with whom you have regular friendly conversations. That'd be a friendly acquaintence or, more warmly, "pal". Not a true friend. I have several people I enjoy conversing with, mostly online, but I wouldn't consider them truly friends. For some reason I end up with one true friend at a time, which is better than zero I guess. Unfortunately my current friend is online only, except for super roadtrips I plan.

Friend: Wikipedia quote: Partners in Friendship, an interpersonal relationship between humans; also in such compounds as gentleman friend.

Or in English, a person you can trust, and socially get along with.

Trust how much, socially get along with?

Social life = too much effort.

I have spoken to several people over the internet, but I wouldn't consider them real friends, although I do like them a lot.

There is one person I would call a true friend, but I have never had the good fortune to meet him in real-life.

I'm not sure exactly how many. Let's see... Maybe 10? It's tough because there's often a flickering line between friend and aquaintance. These are my closer friends. Also, I just may be friends with someone for a summer or so, and then never talk to them again. That's tricky.

I do have maybe 4 really close friends who I love to death and would trust my life with.

I don't care about quantity. I'd be happy with one best friend and no other friends. Love your friends everybody!
