Friends - doing what you want vs not being 'that guy'
Okay, firstly I guess I should consider myself lucky, being someone with aspergers in multiple friend groups. However, when I hang out with friends sometimes (not always) they'll want to play games (usually LoL, [I don't hate it exactly, its just not up my alley so to say, and I hate the community in that game) I really don't want to. Although I make my voice heard, I usually find myself playing a game or two (usually followed by a pen and paper rpg or something that I really enjoy), because I'm the only one holding out and don't want to be 'that guy' who ruins it for everyone. My friends usually try to reinforce that I 'did a good job' after I play, although I usually feel I didn't. Should I hold out more? Is there a way to do that without being 'that guy'? Or since this is a 'just the odd time' type of thing, should I just accept this as something I have to do as a friend (I'm not sure how often someone else wants to hold out on playing a game I enjoy). I'd appreciate any feedback

You could take on a different role if you're okay with participating but just don't feel like playing the game. I like to play coach/host by giving suggestions about the game and getting everyone something to drink and eat. It's fun for me to "overdo" it by for example making bowls with slices of different fruits or even potatoe chips and making them eat it in a certain way as if it would improve their gaming performance.
