I've spoken to this teacher at my school a few times before, because she's head of my year, and my friend is anorexic and she needs to keep up on that. I feel really comfortable round this teacher, and when I'm in private with her I'm not worrying about eye contact and things like that. I find it really fun to talk to her which is rare for me.

I really want to tell her about my Aspergers, because only two people know and I'd feel more comfortable if it were more, especially someone at school. She's very understanding and has actually, I think, displayed some Aspie traits herself, though I doubt she has it. I'm pretty sure I'd be able to communicate how I feel effectively with her if I felt I was in a situation where I could tell her.

The issue is that I'm on study leave, so never see her. I want to tell her before next school year (September) because I'll have new teachers and subjects then and I'm worried about that and it'd help if she knew. So my plan is to email her asking to talk about my anorexic friend and hope I can talk about this too...is this decent? I can't email her saying anything else, can I? Ironic that being an Aspie is making it hard to find a way to tell someone I'm an Aspie :P

Personally, I would do it in person if possible. As for what to say, maybe just tell her exactly what you put in the post about how you have Aspergers and how you feel comfortable around her.
