I figured I might as well post here.

Because I can.

My name is Shani (not Shah-nee, not Shaw-nee, and not some mix of the two, it's pronouced Shay-nee. Rhymes with rainy), I'm 17 years old and I live in Rochester, NY, which is so close to Canada that if Bush does something even more stupid than normal, I can just get my jetpack ready and be in Toronto in 30 minutes. I'm pretty sure that I have AS, but I've never been professionally diagnosed. I'm going to be a senior in high school this coming school year, and I really like elephants.

I mean, I like elephants a lot. Basically, if you want a girlfriend, and you send me a really cute picture of an elephant, I'll probably go for it. Then reject you. Then feel bad, so then I'll go out with you again, but then I'll just end up running away <3

Hi. I'm Mel, a fifteen-and-a-half year old female. I was diagnosed with Asperger's in fourth grade and currently am pursuing my interests in astronomy and physics, my favorite topic being theoretical particle physics. I love to write fiction as well as nonfiction and to read both. That's about all that I can think of.

I'm 15 and I live in Florida (where the old people fly South for the winter)

I was diagnosed when I was two-ish and I found out when I was ten.

I like dinosaurs and movies. (wow, I must've introduced myself four times today)

For more info, view my profile. I hope to meet-n-greet lots of aspies like me on this site! :D  :jester:

Apparently they're real?!8O

While I'm here...

I'm Tim. I'm sixteen years old and I live in the area of Edmonton Alberta.

I was officially diagnosed earlier this year, though I self-dx'd when I was twelve.
I'm a Christian. I'm in grade twelve. I love sciences of evey kind.
I play electric bass and classical guitar and like music from Bach to Mingus to the Postal Service.
I'm also an open video game nerd, Nintendo in particular is my favorite developer.
I'm fairly shy, so even if you've posted in this thread I won't likely make the first move in starting a friendship.

Random Fact: I can type, but I never use the right-hand (/=left-hand) shift key

Edit: Hey! Look at that, post number 2^8!

Edited 16/10/05 to give a slightly more accurate summary of me.

Edited again 18/10/05 to correct two typos and to make my "random fact" clearer. *rolls eyes at self

You mean people are supposed to use the left shift key? I never do, it feels awkward.

No no, by /=left, I meant not equal to left, I wanted to clarify that I didn't mean right as in right and wrong. I never use the shift key on the right-hand side, I always use the left-hand one. Perhaps it's because I'm a lefty.

Hmm... I almost always use the shift key on the left side, too, even when I'm doing a capital "A" or something like that. :? Interesting theory and maybe it's because I'm left-handed, too. ;)

I am an 18-year old self-diagnosed male from the southwestern wasteland of Ohio.

My interests are computers, mechanical thingies, and all sorts of combat (martial arts, swrdsmanship, gunnery, etc). I am also very big on strategy and card games of all sorts.

Anything else, you'll just have to ask about it. :)

Hi, I'm Lucía, I'm 18 years old and I'm from Colombia.

I've been diagnosed as gifted and as a girl with Asperger's. I'm left-handed.

I like music, I'm a singer, and I like reading and writing and stuff. It's good being here and being able to speak english, because in Colombia I don't know anybody who has AS or who is in the autistic spectrum...

I'm a 15 year old diagnosed aspie who lives in Montana.

I consider myself a computer geek and I love linguistics.

I'm learning lojban.

I live in a place where NTs are much more judgmental then usual (small towns are often like that, I suppose);
Which really kills me.

I currently have no real life friends.
