Yes, although usually but not always, I'm pretty good with good friends. That's very difficult with my crush, though, who seems to have a harder time of it than I do. I guess taht's always been an issue, but I've really been noticing it lately. Glad to hear we're all in good company.

I get like that all the time. Especially with cute chicks, customers at work, or people I just met.

All the time. I'll go through phases where my symptoms get either better or worse... when they're bad I can't articulate very well and will try to be alone until this phase passes, or until I'm feeling healthier, more energized, or something along those lines.

yes, this happens to me all time with people I don't know very well. My mind goes completely blank and I can't think of anything to say.

Blocking out is the story of my life. I hate small talk. I have the feeling people think I have a serious impairment or something. lol

Same here. It's usually quickly followed by a comment from my gf that we moved on from that topic 5 mins ago. I also have the issue of people (especially my GF) asking me questions that can easily be answered in a word or two (and they usually already know what I'm going to say) getting angry when I don't give them a nice big monologue. My GF is frequently confused how my mind can be going a mile a minute, yet I have nothing to talk about. She does love how I get along with kids, though.

Yeah, I often get that problem. I've never been able to understand how people find so much to say in response to a single question...

I can talk and talk if its an interest of mine or if I am with close friends, but at parties or social gatherings I just stand around pretty well lost.

I blank and then spend the quiet time fidgeting and thinking. Then I usually come out with what I've been thinking but forget to include an important bit of information. At work I'll go into detail about the importance of 'releasing' the dogs from the commands without explaining that earlier Rover got into a fight with another dog because he broke the sit command and ran away without 'permission'.

Then when the person I'm talking to has that funny look on her face I know it's because I forgot to preface what I was saying. And then I'm embarrassed.
